This week, we're discussing technology in the news. Specifically, we're going to look at the pros and cons of driverless cars. Read this article from Bloomberg, and answer the following discussion questions.

• Warm up: What do you think of driverless cars? Would you be scared to ride in one? Why or why not? Have you ever seen a driverless car? If so, describe it. 
• Describe the problem that smart phones create for drivers. Do you think a driverless car with special technology is safer than a distracted driver?
• Describe how self-driving cars work. Do you trust the technology?
• Why do engineers think they'll be safer? What do you think of the engineers' arguments?
• What are the problems with driverless cars that cause accidents? 
• Do you think what happened in Arizona was a fluke?
• Do you think it was wise for Uber to suspend its driverless car program?
• Would you rather live in a state that bans or heavily regulates driverless cars or one that allows them to be tested on their roads?
• Should companies put the brakes on developing driverless cars? Or should companies move forward with their plans for putting driverless cars on the road?
